Unaccompanied Minors

Unaccompanied Minors – which traces the Home Alone-style hijinks of a bunch of parent-less kids who get snowed in at an airport over Christmas – features more smart, funny people than any other dumb, unfunny film I’ve ever seen. Executive produced by public radio’s Ira Glass, whose “This American Life” featured the original story the movie is based on, Minors has been directed by Paul Feig of television’s “Freaks and Geeks” and features a cast pulled from the likes of “Arrested Development,” “The Office” and “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” This is supposed to spread holiday cheer, but the sight of Lewis Black getting beaten up by bratty tweens only made me want to cry.
