Lions for Lambs

Lions for Lambs should hand out political-science degrees to audience members on their way out of the theater. Three lectures for the price of one, this Robert Redford-directed political drama is set in the midst of the Iraq war and alternates among a trio of jerry-built storylines, two of which literally involve a pair of actors lecturing each other. This is loony Hollywood liberalism, even if you agree with its politics. Yammering on and on are Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise and Redford himself (as a professor, no less).
