Run Fatboy Run

This lifeless comedy directed by David Schwimmer stars Simon Pegg as a British slacker who is trying to get back in the good graces of his former fiance (Thandie Newton) after leaving her at the altar years earlier while she was pregnant with their child. Pegg wrote the screenplay with Michael Ian Black, but he certainly didn’t make it a vanity project. His Dennis is lazy, insensitive and, by all accounts, unhygienic. Yet his most defining quality is blandness. I could barely rouse myself to dislike him.
