Bangkok Dangerous

Filmmaking brothers Danny and Oxide Pang remake their 1999 Thai movie with Nicolas Cage, who can add it to his pile of action junk. Excessively shadowy – couldn’t the Pangs have spent some of their Hollywood money on more lights? – and laughably plotted, Bangkok Dangerous follows a hit man who grows a conscience after falling for a deaf-mute pharmacist while on assignment in Thailand. It must have been the way she fails to communicate how much pain medication he should be taking.
