Big Trouble

If you don’t find at least one amusing thing in Big Trouble, then you’re either having a really bad day or you should admit to being a professional crab. This is a
movie packed with about 15 story lines, 14 main characters (played by the likes of Tim Allen, Rene Russo and Dennis Farina) and at least two jokes per minute. The screwball plot has something to do with a black-market nuclear bomb that arrives in Miami, but it’s the outrageous characterizations – including Andy Richter as one of those mall security guards who treats the fire lane as if it were the Gaza Strip – that make this slight comic gem hum. Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and based on the Dave Barry novel.
