Wesley Snipes’ baritone growl hits new depths in this third entry in the vampire-hunting series. Forget sunlight – at this point Blade could almost smooth-talk his enemies into an eternal slumber, like a cross between Abraham Van Helsing and Barry White. By far the lightest entry in the series, Blade: Trinity tries to adopt a jokey tone to match – Ryan Reynolds joins the cast to add wisecracks – but that can’t save a fading franchise.
