First Sunday

A condescending farce about a pair of criminally inclined friends (Ice Cube and Tracy Morgan) who take a bunch of churchgoers hostage, First Sunday isn’t really funny until it turns sentimental at the end. Of course, by that point it’s supposed to be serious. Morgan shows some promise as the loose-cannon of the duo, while Cube falls back on his trademark scowl.
