Solaris

Like its predecessor – Andrei Tarkovsky’s 1972 science-fiction think piece – this gorgeous remake from Steven Soderbergh travels to deep space to consider themes that lie no farther than the human heart. Revealing a well of remorse beneath his trademark charm, George Clooney stars as a psychologist and widower who responds to the distress call of a crew orbiting the title planet. Questions of guilt, loss, love and just about everything else follow – if you feel it, Solaris covers it.
