The Matrix Revolutions

Revolutions is the disappointment The Matrix Reloaded was accused of being. This final installment in the Wachowski brothers’ science-fiction trilogy is at turns too talky and too bullet-y. The extended section in which it essentially becomes a battle movie, full of relentless machine gunning and macho grimacing, is nearly unbearable. We may finally return to Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) in a climax that cleverly, if tragically, completes the overarching narrative, but at that point audiences might be too exhausted to appreciate it.
