Meet the Spartans

There is a reason why Meet the Spartans and other spoofs of Hollywood blockbusters are fundamentally unnecessary. Smart, cynical moviegoers have already made fun of these movies while watching them in the theater. Consequently, Meet the Spartans – a nearly shot-for-shot redo of 300, with occasional allusions to other recent hits – arrives tired and lame. Add an obsession with scatological humor, and watching the movie is like spending an hour with that weird uncle who repeatedly asks you to pull his finger.
