Over Her Dead Body

A would-be romantic comedy so bland, lifeless and unimaginative I wanted to poke the screen to make sure it was really there. The high-concept plot involves a veterinarian (Paul Rudd) whose uptight, high-maintenance fiance (Eva Longoria Parker) dies on their wedding day. After he tries to contact her through a psychic (Lake Bell) and falls for the new girl, the fiance tries to disrupt their romance from beyond the grave. The television background of writer-director Jeff Lowell shows. This is bad TV on the big screen.
