Space Chimps

Andy Samberg provides the voice of Ham, the grandson of the first chimp in space. Ham has been reduced to cannonball tricks at a circus, but when a new planet is discovered and the space program needs chimpanzees to “man” the inaugural mission, Ham is chosen for PR purposes. Ham is cocky, insulting and irresponsible. In other words, if you are looking for a break from your misbehaving kids by watching this with them, you won’t get one. As for the animation, it’s about at the level of a kid’s show on television, though maybe I thought that because the planet the chimps visit looks a lot like “Teletubbies” and “Boobah.” Space Chimps is boobah indeed.
