Traitor

Traitor stars Don Cheadle as Samir Horn, an American citizen and devout Muslim who has moved overseas and become involved with an extremist group. Has he really turned into a fanatic or is he a double agent for the American government – or does the answer lie somewhere in between? As various characters debate these possibilities – including Guy Pearce, who gives his FBI agent a vague Southern accent, perhaps to keep himself awake while espousing generic FBI speak – Traitor devolves into a series of turgid debate scenes. When the action picks up, you feel like you’re watching a Bourne picture at half speed.
