Zack and Miri Make a Porno

When a pair of platonic roommates (Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks) find themselves desperately short on cash, they decide to make an amateur sex film together and fall in love in the process. The sudden sweetness writer-director Kevin Smith tries to force into Zack and Miri feels especially false considering the nastiness that otherwise defines the movie. There is the graphic, unpleasant sex, yes, but also the fact that everyone in the picture mostly spends their time swearing and screaming insults at each other.
