Bug

For awhile, it’s entrancing to watch and wonder just how crazy the psychological thriller Bug is going to get. Then the movie goes absolutely bonkers, and you wish you hadn’t asked. Ashley Judd stars as Agnes, a drug-addicted, alcoholic barmaid with a threatening ex-husband (a truly frightening Harry Connick Jr.) When a large but gentle drifter (Michael Shannon) starts hanging around, Agnes attaches herself to him in hopes of protection, but it turns out this guy has a severe problem with no-see-ums. From director William Friedkin (The Exorcist).
