This Moses saga hits all of the Bible story’s visual highlights – the burning bush, the plagues, the parting of the Red Sea – with about a third of the animated artistry we expect from feature releases (it mostly looks like a videogame from 1996). As for the storytelling, I’ve found more nuance in the two-page Bible stories we read with our kids after breakfast.
